What is Course Hero?
Course Hero is an online studying platform where you can get access to study materials that were uploaded by other students. On Course Hero, you can get access to study materials like flashcards, exam prep materials, notes, tutorial question and more. Once you make an account on Course Hero, you can upload 10 of your own study documents and receive 5 unlocks. Also, If this is your first time signing up, you also get 5 question to ask tutors on Course Hero. If the study materials you've uploaded gets a good review from other students, you may have an opportunity to receive more unlocks so make sure to upload your best study materials.
Books for Africa Event
Course Hero is partnered with Books for Africa where when you upload 10 documents to Course Hero, we will donate 1 book to schools in Africa. This is a great way to gain materials to help with your studies while helping students who are less fortunate than you.

How can you make an account on Course Hero?

Use either of these links to open the sign up page to Course Hero

After you make an account, click on "upload documents"

Once you upload 10 documents and they have been accepted, you will receive an email saying that you have obtained 5 unlocks (note: this process can take up to 24 hrs so please be patient)

What counts as a study document?
-
lecture notes (typed out is better than handwritten)
-
workshop/tutorial questions (all questions must be answered)
-
assignments that you have worked on (if you are submitting group assignment, make sure you have the permission to upload the document from other group members)

glossary you made for any of your courses

Flashcards

Caution: when uploading study documents, please make sure that ​you have the full right to be uploading these documents to the platform.
Sweepstakes Event
Currently, Course Hero is sponsoring the Sweepstakes competition. Sweepstakes is sort of like a virtual raffle ticket. The closing date is 30 June 2021 at 11:59PM (AEST or Australian Eastern Standard Time) and the winner will receive $500. All you need to do to enter is upload 10 valid study documents to Course Hero using the link below. If your not sure what sort of documents you can upload to Course Hero, I have made a list in the box below.

Unfortunately, Sweepstakes is currently is only available for permanent residents or citizens in New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland.
How to Select the Notes You Want to Unlock

Make sure you have received the email saying that you have received an unlock

Log into Course Hero and go to the search bar at the top of the page and type in the study material or the course you want the study materials for

Once you click on the search bar, it will come up with a little box with filters where you can select your university

Once you've done all of that it will show you all the study materials from your university with the relevant key words
-
Click on any of the document to view the preview version of the study materials

If you want to use that document for your study then click on a pink button that says "unlock"

If you don't want to unlock the note then just simply click off and you can keep browsing through the previews of different study material until you find the one you like.
